What Type of Bed Do You Want???
In considering types of dog beds, we feature the classic pillow dog beds, popular with all dogs and their people. Pillow dog beds come in both round and rectangular shapes with a wide selection of washable fabric covers. Nest Dog Beds provide cozy, cave-like retreats, popular with smaller dogs and cats. Larger dogs - on the other hand - tend to prefer Bolster Dog Beds or Sofa styles. OR if you are seeking that special decorative or designer pet, be sure to check out our collection of decorative and designer bed. These lovely designs are available in wood, wicker or metal to be mixed and matched with your home décor.

We also have a nice selection of Orthopedic Dog Beds for your special-needs dogs, featuring medical-grade foam to provide extra support for older or arthritic dogs.  Need something for the back yard or other outdoor settings? We have waterproof Outdoor Dog Beds, some even featuring sun shades. Other Outdoor Dog Bed designs sit a few inches above the ground to provide good cross-ventilation to keep your dog cool on hot summer days. We even have Heated Dog Beds for indoor or outdoor settings to create a warm and cozy spot for your four-legged friend.

What Type of Dog Bed Fill Will Suit Your Needs?
Just like our human pillows, you can select dog bed fill from a variety of materials, ranging from foam, poly-fiber, and mixtures of poly-fiber mixed with odor-reducing, activated carbon and cedar chips.  We also offer Hypoallergenic Dog Beds available in 100% natural cotton for environmentally sensitive pets.  Some Pillow Dog Beds and Orthopedic Dog Beds offer a mixture of both regular foam and visio-memory foam to create a special bedding surface for your special-needs pet. Another memory foam type bed, called Memory-Therm,  is a combination of finely-shredded memory foam chips and poly-fill. The end result is a bed that both extremely supportive and super-soft.

What is Memory Foam??
Memory foam - sometimes also referred to as visio-memory foam - is denser, providing more support than standard foam used in most dog (and people) bedding. Memory foam will retain its shape without matting or loosing integrity or firmness over time or with use. This type of fill works well for larger dogs that require extra support over a longer period of time.

Does Size Matter?
It does to you,  and it does to your dog.  Just like for us, too small never works!  If you have any doubts, select a dog bed cover that is one size larger - since in most cases the price difference is not that much.   Plus remember, the filling in pillow beds and bolsters on pet sofas reduces useable space available to your dog. We suggest to our customers, who are replacing covers for an existing  bed to use their bed’s size as a guide when ordering the replacement cover.

Dog Beds, how to measure your dog for their pet bed
Tips on How to Measure your Dog for a Pet Bed:
Measure your pet while he or she is lying in their normal sleeping position. Start from the front legs or nose and measure to the back legs or rump.  Then add about 9” to this measurement to determine the required pet bed size.

Typically, round pet beds provide the least amount of extra space for your pet, while rectangular beds produce the maximum amount of sleeping area. For larger dogs over 80lbs, our Bolster Dog Beds or Pet Sofas make a great choice.
